Founded by Experience.
Be Fearsome Leadership was founded by Tom Frearson, a former Royal Marines Commando and hostile environment security consultant who has led, trained, and coordinated teams in high-risk environments across the Horn of Africa and Nigeria in anti-piracy and high-threat operations. Before his military career, Tom was an overweight university dropout with little direction. His transformation into a Commando, elite security operator, endurance athlete, and leadership coach fundamentally shaped his view of leadership — not as a title or position, but as a performance that must be deliberately prepared for.
Following his time in global security operations, Tom transitioned into the human performance and wellness space. He went on to run the UK’s largest outdoor bootcamp in Hyde Park and coach endurance athletes at national and international level. This deepened his understanding of discipline, recovery, mindset, and sustainable performance — principles now embedded in everything Be Fearsome Leadership delivers. Today, Tom works with leaders, teams, and organisations operating under pressure, blending operational experience with modern coaching science and human performance to help leaders stay clear, calm, and effective when it matters most.
