Talented People. Different Directions.
Most leadership teams are full of capable people. They are busy, experienced and committed. And they are often pulling in slightly different directions.
Decisions get revisited. Difficult conversations get avoided. Meetings end in agreement and nothing changes.
Patrick Lencioni called these the five dysfunctions of a team. We see them in every sector we work in. The Aligned Programme works through them, in the right order.

One Journey. One Aligned Team.
The Aligned Programme runs as four days over four to six months, with a Review day three to six months after Direction. Book the full journey, or any day on its own. Each day stands alone. Together they move a team from connected to self-aware, to aligned. At least two weeks between days gives the team time to do the work.
Connection
Who are we to each other?
We bring the team together and get them working as one. Experiential team challenges, the StratNav strategic simulation and Command Tasks under pressure. A baseline team diagnostic shows exactly where you stand today.
Teams already well connected can start at Identity.
We introduce the frameworks the programme builds on: OODA, leader-leader and The Five Dysfunctions of a Team.
Builds: Trust
Outputs: Baseline alignment score. A shared experience. The foundation of trust.
STEP 1
Identity
Who am I, and what do I bring?
Each person completes an Everything DiSC® Workplace profile a week before the day. In the room, we map the whole team: where each person sits and where the friction comes from. The day ends with three shared commitments on how the group works together.
The day ends with three shared commitments on how the group runs meetings, gives feedback and handles pressure.
Builds: Understanding
Outputs: Personal Everything DiSC® profile. Team map. Three shared commitments.
STEP 2
Cohesion
How do we work as a team?
Each person completes The Five Behaviors® Team Development profile a week before the day. The team sees its score on trust, conflict, commitment, accountability and results, building on the DiSC® language from Identity.
In the room, we work through the five behaviours in order and put the conversations the team has been avoiding on the table. The day ends with agreed actions on the team’s weakest behaviour.
Builds: Honest healthy conflict
Outputs: Five Behaviors® team report. Agreed team actions on the weakest behaviour.
STEP 3
Direction
Where are we going?
The team builds, sharpens or embeds its Mission, Values, Vision and Behaviours. The group agrees what it stands for and how it will operate together.
Before the day, each person submits the five to seven values they believe should define the team. We build from the group's own language, so the result is a lived standard, not a document.
Builds: Commitment
Outputs: Agreed Mission, Values, Vision and Behaviours. A clear standard for how the group operates.
STEP 4
Review
What has changed, and what comes next?
A review day, three to six months after Direction, included in the full programme.
The team repeats the baseline diagnostic, reviews its Mission, Values, Vision and Behaviours, and decides what comes next: consolidate, reset or move to the next stage of development.
Builds: Accountability and results
Outputs: Before and after diagnostic. Updated MVVB. Agreed next steps.
STEP 5
Four steps and a Review make the full Aligned Programme. Book any day on its own or in any combination. Whichever day you start on, the team completes the baseline diagnostic first, so every team can measure the change.
